Migration from Jira ver. 3.13.5 to Jira ver. 4.0 or higher

Vitalij Maslov April 1, 2014

Hello,
Our team separated from developer company and we use there Jira ver. 3.13.5.
Now I try to import our project in to Jira, installed on our server. I try to import it in Jira ver. 6.2.1, ver. 4.3.4, ver. 4.0 and all my attempts resulted in nothing.

After last attempt on ver. 4.0 I got this message "This data appears to be from an older version of JIRA. Please upgrade the data and try again. The current version of JIRA is at build number '466', but the supplied backup file was for build number '360'."

What I must do to import data from Jira ver. 3.13.5 to Jira ver. 4.0 or higher?

Install version 3.13.5, import project(backup), upgrade jira - this will upgrade project data as well.

Can't install ver. 3.13.5, because Atlassian gives licenses only on ver. 4.0 and higher.
