Migrating to Jira OnDemand - HTML in description

Hello,

The company I work for recently moved from FogBugz to Jira OnDemand. I used rich text in my bugs on FogBugz, but after the migration, since Jira OnDemand does not support rich text or HTML, all of my past bugs are quite hard to read. Is there a way to automatically cleanse all HTML from Jira bugs, or do I have to manually edit each and every bug?

Hi Trevor.

I'm afraid that this is not possible. One alternative that you have is to use JIRA's REST API to get all the issues, run through a script that parses the text and updates the issue with the text parsed.

Tricky, but possibly the only alternative.

Ok, thanks for the response Pedro. I think we're already working on a tool to do what you've described.
