Migrating jira users from JIRA Delegated Authentication Directory to JIRA Internal Directo

We are using JIRA 5.2.11 application.

Currently login authentication is done by  'JIRA Delegated Authentication Directory  '  i.e.  organisation active directory .

Now We want to migrate users from JIRA Delegated Authentication Directory  to JIRA Internal Directory.

Accordingly I have used 'Migrate users from one directory to another' feature . We have successfully completed the task but when user tried to login with JIRA it fails.

Also in database the cwd_user table is showing updated directory_id for each user.

Kindly assist on this.

incorrect password or what is the problem?
Is there error in application log when user login?

Nothing is generated in log but on UI while login it throws the error,

'Sorry, your username and password are incorrect - please try again.'

is the same error after changing password?

Do we need to change passwords? we didn't tried to change password.

Let me ask you more clearly,

after this directory migration activity every user is linked with 'JIRA Internal Directory ', now as JIRA Admin do we need to reset users password explicitly in JIRA?

I think, you have to set password for all migrated users in JIRA,
JIRA Delegated Authentication Directory does not contain passwords.

One more thing just wanted to know, does JIRA 5.2 supports JIRA internal Directory with LDAP authentication.

If yes, then how to implement it.

Yes.  The order is like,

Position 1-  JIRA Internal Directory  Internal  - New

Position 2-  JIRA Delegated Authentication Directory  - Old

Is order of directory correct in directory list?
Your new directory should by above of old.
