Migrate from Onsite Jira to OnDemand - Licence Implications

Hi,

We are considering upgrading from basic on site JIRA Server (no plugins), to OnDemand JIRA Agile + Confluence.  We have 500 onsite JIRA licences - can we re-use these and just purchase what we need for the delta?

Kind regards,

Mat.

Hi Matt,

The two are not actually compatible - with your self installed license, you've purchased a perpetual license that is yours to keep.  For the cloud-based solution, you're just paying a subscription fee.  Additionally, we do not offer refunds on unused maintenance/support periods (outside of our 30-day refund policy outlined in the Purchasing FAQ), so there is nothing to transfer or apply to a Cloud subscription.  In this situation you would be best to move to the cloud solution when your current maintenance is nearing completion.

Cheers,

-dave
