I am having similar issue as https://answers.atlassian.com/questions/158677/not-able-to-add-transition-to-resolved-step-workflow?page=1#167539 and my workflow scheme is associated to 1900 projects. So I need to manually associate the 1900 project to new copy workflow scheme.

Hi Anoop, as you can see on the bottom comments in this issue: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRA-5254
This new feature will be implemented in v6.0
Altough, the last comment indicates a plugin for this, that could be exactly what you need:
https://marketplace.atlassian.com/plugins/com.catworkx.plugins.BulkWorkflowSchemeSwitcher
Hope this helps.
