Manage list of possible watchers

Sandra Meessen February 6, 2019

Hi, Who can help me with my managing list of possible watchers issue?

  • I have a project with project permissions on the project roles servicedesk (internal employees) and users (customerA employees).
  • As global permissions I have jira-users (all active Jira users) on the "browse users" permission.

Issue now is that when a customerA employee select "manage watchers" in an issue of their project, they can see all active Jira users, so also employees of other customers. That's not what we want. They may only see the users who are member of the project roles servicedesk and users.

How do I do that? Thanks and warm regards, Sandra Meessen

Hello Sandra,

Thank you for getting in touch with Atlassian Community!
Currently, it's not possible to add a list of watchers for each project or block users from seeing other users. We have a feature request suggesting the implementation of this ability:
- When adding watchers, the user-picker dialog should only show users who have access to the project.
Please, click on vote and watch in order to hear about updates on the development cycle.

Regards,
Angélica
