Make sure issues in sprint show up on board

Jessica_Moszkowicz October 3, 2014

We have a Scrum board that's built on a saved filter across a few projects.  Recently, as we were planning a sprint, we came across an issue that we wanted to include in the sprint but that was not in one of the saved filter projects.  We manually added the issue to the sprint, but, of course, it doesn't show up in the Scrum board since it doesn't fit the saved filter.  We don't really want to add the entire project to the filter because we don't want all issues from that project to pollute the backlog.  However, if the issue doesn't appear on the board, it's likely that the developer will overlook the issue.  Is there any way to make sure the issue shows up short of adding the entire project to the saved filter?  It seems like any time an issue is explicitly assigned to a sprint, it should appear on the board, regardless of the board's filter, but maybe that's just a feature request?

You should be able to leverage the filter to do that. Maybe modify the filter to:

("Your existing filter criteria") OR sprint is not empty

Again, you might not want to show issues from other projects (with a sprint) or closed issues with sprints. But you can still leverage the advanced queries to filter those out
