We have a mail hander running that process e-mail from a Office 365 mailbox. We configured Jira to only process e-mails from users with an account in Jira. Unfortunately also non Jira user mail are processed. Why is Jira deleting all message and not the one that are processed as Issue in Jira?

I'm wondering what is the definition of "processing" an e-mail.
I would expect from Jira to delete the mails which have been correctly translated into a new Jira issue. And that the mails which could not be translated into an issue (because the reporter is not known from Jira instance) remain in the mailbox.
Is it possible to configure Jira ServiceDesk cloud in such a way ?
