Hi to all,
is the following possible: to login to JIRA ServiceDesk the user can use their username + their domain
So, our students have a student number as a username, for example 165894. On our other services they login using 165894@cssd.ac.uk (where cssd.ac.uk is the domain name).
Now 165894@cssd.ac.uk is NOT their email address.
For ease of use and consistency, I would like allow them to login using username@cssd.ac.uk
Is this possible?
Kind regards
B.
Thank you for the answer,
I had a look on Crowd and it is an overkill (in terms of price & specs) for just the thing I'm looking for.
Kind regards
B.
There are two ways of doing it, you could use the internal JIRA user directory and manually grant users access and that way control the user ID, but that would also mean a separate password. The other option would be to use Crowd, since Crowd allows you to setup user aliases in different applications connected to Crowd.
