List Issues for anonymous user

Manuel Roth August 11, 2014

I'd like to open some public issues of a project for anyone.

So i followed the documentation here: https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/JIRA/Configuring+Issue-level+Security

Now a anonymous user is able to see a public issue.

But he can't list any issues. Also in the release notes there aren't any issues listed?

Did I forget something?

thanks for advice

Hi Manuel

Depending on your version of JIRA, there is a known bug regarding this issue.

When a security level is set and Group (Anyone) is allowed to view issues, anonymous users still won't be able to view issues.

The workaround for this is to set the security level for those issues to None

You can read more about the bug in the following link

https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRA-38511
