Linking Trusted Applications (Jira & Confluence)

Drew Baldock December 3, 2012

We have installed and setup Jira and Confluences on SSL HTTPS connections which are both working great. When we go to add one to the other as a trust application, it gives errors that the certificate could not be downloaded. Any assistance you could provide would be greatly appreciated.

Both applications were configured in SSL mode with the keys exchanged, it just turned out that the versions being used were not compatible for trusting eachother. Confluence 3.2.1 and Jira 4.1.1 are not compatible to link.

Cheers!

I think you will need to add the certificate for jira into confluence's truststore and vice vers. Below are the instructions for both applications.

Confluence
https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/DOC/Connecting+to+LDAP+or+JIRA+or+Other+Services+via+SSL

Jira
https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/JIRA/Connecting+to+SSL+services

Hope this helps!
