Linking JIRA and Bamboo...

Nick de Smith March 18, 2014

Hi - I have JIRA 6.2 & Bamboo 5.4.2 running on two different servers in a Windows 2008 R2 environment.

JIRA is integrated with Active Directory and that works fine. I want Bamboo to use active directory too, either through JIRA or directly to AD.

I cannot find an "idiots guide to application links" or an "idiots guide to integrating JIRA & Bamboo". Lots about confluence, several far-from-explicit discussions.

Is there a step-by-step simple guide to linking JIRA & Bamboo, then making Bamboo's logins work via JIRA?

And, no, we don't have Crowd.

Thanks

Crowd is almost certainly not an option for internal reasons...

Get Crowd. It will save you from future mess that you can get yourself stuck into if your userbase grows and you still want to continue to use JIRA for user mgmt.
