Link from a JIRA issue to a Confluence page by using a link with an anchor does not work - any workaround?

We have JIRA 6.3.1 and Confluence 5.6.3 and try to link from a JIRA issue to a Confluence page by using a link with an anchor but it does not work. Even if we use Web Link and add the full URL followed by #anchorname the Confluence page will not jump to the anchor but instead to the top of the page.

Is there a way to solve this problem?

Hi,

Have a look at https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/DOC/Working+with+Links#WorkingwithLinks-Linktospecifictypesofcontent. As you can see with this link, you should also include the page name (so full URL#pagename-anchorname). This only works as you add it as a Web link, if you try to add a link to a Confluence page in JIRA the #anchor part is stripped by JIRA.

Regards,

Geert

Hi Geert, Thanks a lot. I tried it, and it works :-)
