Link an issue field as mandatory

In my workflow, i have a workflow step of "Close as duplicate"

I want the person responsible for closing the ticket as "Close as duplicate", must enter the link an issue field to identify it duplicates which issue.

Is it possible to deal with this issue in the workflow?

Hi Ananda,

You could make the issue field required using a workflow validator. The JIRA Suite Utilities plugin has this kind of validator : https://marketplace.atlassian.com/plugins/com.googlecode.jira-suite-utilities
