Limit the fields the anonymous user can see.

Bridger Larson June 1, 2012

Is there a way to limit the fields that tae anonymous user can see while browsing issues? For example, I want the anonymous user to see some of the basics of an issue but not all of the details. I don't want them to see the time tracking, who it is assigned to, the activity/comments on an issue or customer information pulled from Salesforce. I do want them to be able to see the description, the priority, status, etc.

Any ideas?

Thank you in advance!

There is no field level security in JIRA. Maybe this plugin can help:

None that I am aware of. Not especially for View. If it was Edit, you could have done this with workflows!

Thank you for you response Jobin. I do understand that there is no field security with Jira, but is there a way to set up a custom screen/view for the anonymous user?

Thank you!
