License Different Products at different tiers

Is it possible to license JIRA software & Jira Servicedesk at different tiers?

We only have a small dev team (fits in smallest licensing tier), but a much larger team of sysadmins / helpdesk, (about 100 + users).  We already have a servicedesk installation with the appropriate licensing.

Would we be able to license these at different tiers (either in separate instances of Jira or on the same host)

Hello,

You can license Jira Service Desk and Jira Software at different tiers. User licenses are counted separately for Service Desk and Jira Software.

Yes, you can licence them differently.

For example, have 25 Software Developers, 50 Core users and 10 Agents.  The Software and Agent users get Core access as part of their licence, so those numbers would allow you up to 85 total distinct users.

Do you really have 100+ Service Desk agents though?  (As opposed to "customers", who don't cost you anything)

Also, if you have any Apps, they will have to be licenced at the highest tier you have.  In my example, that would be 50, as Core is at the highest.

We do have 100 Agents, with something like 2500 customers.

What are you referring to as "apps"? Like Plugins?

Plugins are a type of App, yes (and probably the largest sub-set).
