I have done a "installing a Jira from and archive file on windows" and we LDAP and it did not come over with everything else. We did a manual install and it lets us sign in but it doesnt allow the same privileges that it used too. We had users who showed up in the adminstrators group but the administration link would not show until we did an adding of the user to group. Is there an utility that would help with bringing over all the LDAP settings??
To connect using "Delegated Authentication" you might refer to this doc:
Basically is necessary to select "Internal with LDAP Authentication" when Adding a new directory.
Hi Pat,
In regards to the previously mentioned copy user on login, please refer to our documentation here. Using that method, you could also set a default group membership for your LDAP users which will automatically add your LDAP user membership to the default group when they log-in.
If you want JIRA to brought over your LDAP users and mapped it with your LDAP groups as specified on the LDAP server, please refer to this for CONNECTOR method and this for DELEGATED.
Hope it helps.
Cheers,

Did you try Delegated authentication with copy users on login (some thing like that). It copies users and groups first time user tries to login
