Kanban board shows issues older than 2 weeks

I have configured the kanban board to hide DONE issues older than 2 weeks in the field "Hide completed issues older than" in the General section in the Configure Board area.
However, the board shows old issues and people that is no longer in the team.
Why this configuration isnot working?

It's normally set to hide only completed issues older than X weeks - this also relies on your workflow setting the resolution

Welcome to the Atlassian Community!

This setting only applies to the "done" column in Kanban boards (the last, rightmost column on the board).  Is that where you are seeing issues not updated for over two weeks?

The issues that keep showing up on the board, are they in a Done status? Also make sure that the resolution field is set.
