Kanban Workflow

WilliamM June 9, 2014

Is it possible to have a kanban board for division x and once issues move to an end state on that board, they are automatically moved to the initial state on division y kanban board?

For example, we have a requirements team that wants to use kanban to follow a feature through various steps of requirements gathering. Once that team is "done" gathering the requirements, the issue would be moved to the development teams board. Could anyone comment on how I might configure that scenario?

Thanks very much!

Hi Wiliam,

It depends how your project/s are configured. But let's assume that you are using one project. In that case below configuration should work.

1. Create two boards for one project (one for requirements, one for development)

2. Choose which status will be the same for two teams (e.g To Development)

3. Set up columns of the first Board to have the last column including above status.

4. Set up columns of the second Board to have the first column including above status.

Now when one requirement team will move an issue to the To Development status it should appear on the second board for development team.

Key thing is to have the same status in the same worklow that is used on both Boards.

I hope it will help.
