Kanban / Scrum Board Transition Trigger

Admin October 9, 2014

I experimented a bit with Scrum and Kanban Boards and essentially those are just

views that can differently picture the issues that I created right? Anyways I tried to

combine them in a way. Lets say I have my Kanban and my Scrum View on my

projects (The Workflow for Scrum would be like:

Backlog and Selected for Development -> To Do

In Progress -> In Progress

Done -> Done)

I really like to use the Kanban as an Overview to decide which of my issues to pick

and the Scrum Board to actually create my Sprint.

Now it would be really cool to Trigger a Transition from Backlog to Selected for

Development once I started my Sprint. Is that possible?

Hi there,

I’m afraid that’s not possible. My suggestion in this case is to “Bulk” transition all the issues that are in the sprint you just started and transition them from “Backlog” to “Selected for Development”. Please see Modifying Multiple (Bulk) Issues for further details about this.

Hope it helps.

Cheers,
Clarissa.
