Kanban Board does not show story subtasks under the stories

Ruben Sadoyan June 12, 2014

Hi guys.

Jira 4.4.5

kanban board does not show story children (subtasks) below the story. Somehow subtasks live their own lives and are not shown with their parents. What is wrong?

Thanks in advance,

Aquarius.

Did your filter for the board finds the subtasks? It should, if you want to see the subtasks.

Filter finds subtasks, actually managed to show them and want to make Jira base swimlines on stories so that subtasks are shown groupped by story or parent ticket, but it is impossible neither in Kanban board template configuration nor in scrum.

Is this because of old version of Jira or something else is wrong?

Hi Aquarius,

Are you basing your swimlanes on stories or something else?

Does the board sub filter filter out your sub tasks (look at the bottom of the general configuration page to see the sub filter).

Best regards,

Peter
