Hi Expets,

We are working on a joint project with another partner company that also uses JIRA Cloud. We would like to connect our tasks via a joint SCRUM Board. Our JIRA's are two seperate instances.

Is this possible within the current JIRA capabilietis?

My original idea was:

- add JIRA users from both companies into both JIRA instance projects

- create 2 boards: one on each side - that are identical in steps

- allow users from both companies to see all the tasks in joint JIRA Board

This will allow us to plan activites together for a joint project while at the same time plan our work individually.

Has this been done before?

Thank you :)

Hi @Matevž Babnik ,

if you want to keep issues synced between instances look at an addon like Backbone for Jira or similar. The downside here is that such an application needs to be installed on both instances. I seem to recall that the vendor might have been working on a one-way installation but unsure if that is fact and if so is it available.

Thank you Jack for your feedback and suggestion.

Our requirement is to see the statuses of the tasks on both sides. Partner company will not move our JIRA's tasks and vice versa. It's like having two SCRUM sub-teams that sync up regularly, but the tasks cannot be moved from one team to another.

I will check the Backbone addon to see if this will work.
