Jira very slow with IE

Hi All,

what can be the root cause that the performance is significantly slower in IE than in Firefox.

Ie has slow performance for Javascript heavy sites and JIRA is one. Use ie9 and above, it's better.

Yup, the answer to that question is that the root cause is using IE. Later versions improve, but IE tends to significantly lag other browsers in it's performance. Even IE9 is demonstrably slower that the latest Chrome and Firefox implementations. There's nothing to be done on the server side, it's the client that's the problem!

And to be fair, it is a lot better. Unfortunately not released for win7 yet though...

Yeah, IE tries to avoid any perf improvements for jQuery, like they would have any real alternative. MS promised IE10 to be comparable in perf with chrome ....

This is just for <= IE8. New ones are much better.

JIRA is very compitable with Chrome.

Please use chrome for JIRA

- in my testing EDGE is the fastest especially when using query

- CHROME is somewhat slower

- IE11 is a dead horse in comparison (completely unusable)
