Jira users without permissions to a project can see other project boards

A user that is set up on Project A only, can see all of the boards for Projects B & C & D in the boards pulldown at the top of the page.  Is there a way to hide this from project specific users, to only show their project only (Project A)?

Same thing for the Epic pulldown when creating an issue.  All Epics for all projects come up, even though the user does not have permissions to see the other projects.

See the 'Sharing a board' section here: https://confluence.atlassian.com/jirasoftwarecloud/configuring-a-board-764477974.html

As it says there, 'A board is available to all users who can view the saved filter on which the board is based.'

So if you want to hide the board from users, you need to make sure the saved filter for the board is not shared with them.

The user belongs to groups or roles that grant "browse" on the project and/or boards for B, C and D.

Check the permissions in the projects and the sharing on the boards to see who they have been opened up to, and remove the user A from those rules.
