Hi,

The jira-user has the rights to edit his own comments and delete own comments. When he try to edit the comments on closed issue he was unable to edit/delete the comment. We have enabled property "jira.issue.editable" flag set to true on close Status. Why can't he able to edit/delete his own comment on the closed issue? Could you please provide me the workaround/solution for this problem.

Quick answer most appreciated.

Thanks,
Patina

Based on this doc, can you check if this customer has the "Delete Own Comments" permission in this project?

Also, as an Admin, go to the issue, click on "Admin > Permission Helper" and check the permissions of that specific user to delete own comments.

Hope it helps!

We cannot remove the workflow properties. Why because we have been maintaining these from long back.

You need to remove them to test if they are the problem.

Do you have other properties sset on that status?

Can he edit or delete comments on other issues in the same project?  Are they in different status?

Hi Nic, We set "jira.issue.editable" flag true on closed issue for jira-admins and current assignee only. And he was able to edit/delete other issues (same type in same project). But the particular issue is not. Thanks, Patina
