Jira upgrade from 7.0.11 to 7.5 generating LDAP errors

Alfredo Negrete October 2, 2017

I'm doing an upgrade on Windows from 7.0.11 to 7.5.  I'm getting an error that indicates it's unable to find the LDAP cert...has anyone seen this?  The following error is generated when trying to log onto the instance:

Possible you added your LDAP server cert to the JRE cacerts store that was erased when you upgraded?

I have had this before.  We had to remove and re-adding the user directory to resolve the issue.  You should try this in your test environment or snapshot before doing so.  I think we had to change the ID in the database to prevent loss of roles as well.  Not positive though it has been about a year since we ran into that.
