We would like to integrate our Jira with our partner's Jira system. The idea is to have a simple synchonization for summary, description and comments and issue status changes (resolved or not) for calculating SLA response time.
We were planning to use Jira email handlers at both ends but I realized that the issue status probably is not synchronized.
What would be the best way to implement a simple issue/issue status synchronization between two Jira systems that may be at different version?
Thanks,
Toni
Hi Toni,
I know this is an old post - things evolved quite a bit since 2014.
There are currently different solutions on the marketplace for cross instance issue synchronisation -
check following query

We are the team behind Exalate (which is one of these solutions)
https://marketplace.atlassian.com/plugins/com.exalate.jiranode
It fully covers your use case, and we are very willing to help in case you decide to evaluate our solution.

Anyone, how can I set my answer as an answer to the question?
I'm getting emails saying:
But I cannot find a link saying 'Answer my own question'. It's not even found in the page source code.
The link I got in the email doesn't work.. https://answers.atlassian.com/accept_answer/293315/

For simplicity we decided to go with email approach and leave out status sync.

Take a look at ConnectAll too. It supports a suite of apps but we have customers doing just JIRA to JIRA.
