Many a times, when we reach out to someone in the team or across product teams, we leave a comment and tag their names on the comments, hoping that they respond in time. There are situations where notifications are not sent or the concerned person dont respond on time. Only way is to put another comment on the jira story/bug so that they are aware. Is there a plan to add like a "follow-up" or a "nudge" option so that it notifies the user to respond to comments?
Please try to do the following: add a workflow transition from the status the ticket needed to be answered to the same status which is called "Escalate ticket". Users will be notified that ticket is escalated. If the tagged users are not added to the watchers list (due to some restrictions), maybe a custom event and a custom listener (the developed one) can be a solution. Also if you will choose development - it is possible to create issue action that will do that functionality.
