Jira notification e-mail when issue created via REST API

Hi

I am creating Jira issues for one project via the REST API and would like an e-mail notification to be sent for each new issue. Is this possible and what do I need to set so that it happens?

Hi warren,  Yes it is possible for an e-mail notification to be sent for each new issue. The default notification scheme for issue created is the notification is sent to Current Assignee, Reporter, and all watcher.

To get notified of issue created, it either you specify the email address in Issue created a notification in Notification Scheme edit screen.

1. G+G and type Notification scheme

2. On action tab, click notification.

3. On a event Create Issue (System), click Add and Add a single email address that you want to receive the notification.
