I've never seen this error before. There is a problem finding some classes provided by the add-on: is the discontinued "Links Explorer HTML 5 (Free)" add-on installed? This would cause conflicts because both add-ons share some classes. In this case, you have to un-install the discontinued add-on.

If it was not installed then please let me know your JIRA (as well as the Agile/Greenhopper) version and I will try it on the same environment.

the above add-on is not installed at all. Given below the versions.

jira - 6.1.4

agile - 6.3.6

I've tested it on this configuration and it works as expected. I've also upgraded the UPM to the latest avalable version (2.14.4) and it works too.

Have you tried by removing and installing it again? If you are trying it on a no-production environment: did you try by re-starting JIRA?

As I mentioned, your error indicates that some classes bundled in the add-on are not found by JIRA (the V2 plugin framework), but I tested it twice against the latest 3.4.0 version on the Marketplace and it worked in both cases.

We are experiencing a similar error. After installing the plugin there's lots of errors in the logs:

We are using 3.4.0 version in JIRA 6.0.1 and Greenhopper 6.2.5. We've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the add-on and restarting JIRA but the problems persist.

Any help / solution would be appreciated.

I've just tested it against the JIRA 6.0.1 and 6.0.8 and Agile 6.2.5 and 6.2.5.1 and I am unable to reproduce the issue.

I would recommend upgrading to Agile 6.3+ as the Links Hierarchy add-on displays the Sprint status on the issues which is really very helpful if you are using Scrum boards. Is it an option for you?

On the other hand, I would like to identify what it is causing such error on your current configuration: Do you see anything special when these errors are logged?

Thanks for your reply. Actually it's one of our customers experiencing this issue, I've transmited to them the suggestion about upgrading to Agile.

When the errors are logged nothing especial is happening in the UI. However, the errors are thrown when accessing a Rapid Board with a selected issue, that would be an example of url: /jira/secure/RapidBoard.jspa?rapidView=XXX=planning&selectedIssue=TICK-XXX

It is the regular URL.

I've reviewed the source code. As I mentioned, the error log will disappear when your customer upgrade to Agile 6.3.0.1+. The error has not any impact on prior versions of JIRA Agile, apart of the anonying log trace.

When your customer upgrade to a newer version, they will see nice icons: , , for the sprint state (FUTURE, ACTIVE, CLOSED). The Sprint State is supported by the JIRA Agile API since the 6.3 version.

Hope this helps.
