Is this the future at home? Kids creating tasks for their parents or vice versa? The idea is kinda nice but i am still laughing at the thought of scenarios like this: Son created Gift-1 "daddy i need playstation 5" Daddy rejected Gift-1 "get better in school first" And so on. Hehehe

HAHAHA :D On a serious note, I feel we're slowly moving towards a task-driven society, where not only software is developed in sprints, but ourselves aswell. As for kids (and grownups too I guess) we would need an improved carrot to keep us motivated. Jesse Schell gave an interesting talk at DICE 2010 on how gamification would cross boundaries and make us better as a whole: http://www.g4tv.com/videos/44277/dice-2010-design-outside-the-box-presentation/

I like the idea. Our kids use computers more like we do. Why not assigning tasks like this. I mean they will add "several yrs of jira experience" to their resume later. As jira became industry standard we will prepare them good

Already happens in our house - my better half raises issues in Jira to remind me to do things. She's asking for "vacuum the stairs" to be raised weekly automatically...
