Jira, JVM and performance metrics

We are using telegraf to pull metrics into influxdb and using grafana as the dashboard ui.

It is difficult to find any documentation on how to gather JMX and any Jira performance related metrics found on the instrumentation page and push them into influxdb.

Does any one have any suggestions? Is this possible through the REST API?

Hello, 

If you are talking about Jira server or data center versions then you should connect to Jira's JVM through JMX directly. Settings for JMX connection are not different from any other Java application.
