Jira Installation on AWS

I am trying to standlone version of Jira on AWS instance. I am able to get the setup page through

http://your_elestic_ip_address:8080url, but after entering the MySQL database parameters, i get the error Could not connect to myserver. I see the jira database and table structures are created so no issue with sql connection. I restarted the Jira multiple times but still have the issue.

What could issue I am not able to go thrugh the seup process and see the license page?
