Jira Datacenter and Jira compatibility

Hi,

currently, we have one server for all applications (Core, Service Desk and Software). Is it possible to: keep current configuration, install datacenter license for Service Desk and add only one node for Service Desk to provide high availability? Can we use datacenter licenses to access "Business projects" on the first server? Or do we have to move Service desk to a new set of servers?

You will need to move your whole installation to data centre licences.  Jira Service Desk and Software are both applications that are installed on a Jira Core, so to upgrade them to data centre, you need to upgrade the core they run on,

You can keep all of your current configuration, you only need to apply the licence to the first existing node and then configure additional nodes in order to convert Server to DC.
