Jira CSV import

Hi,

I have been looking for a way to do a CSV bulk upload text into the 'Description' section but I noticed that the in built Description field is not linked to this section. Is there a way to populate this section via a CSV upload? If not, is there a way to remove it from the screen? I cannot see it on the issue screen either. Also, is it possible to remove the fields components and labels from the screen?Jira fields.PNG

Any help on this would be very much appreciated.

In order to upload data into description you would need to map a text field from your csv file to description field.

Regarding the display: Description will only be displayed in the Description section if it contains data.

To remove Label and Component from the screen you need to hide those fields in the field configuration used for that issuetype/ project.
