Jira & Bitbucket - remove commits of deleted branch

tom_goossens November 30, 2013
Our team is making good use of the Jira/Bitbucket integration. However, we notice that commits that reference particular issues keep showing up in the Jira commit tab when the related branch is deleted from Bitbucket (and hence the commit is undone). This clutters the Jira issue and impacts traceability. Is there a way I can remove commits from the Jira commit tab? Thanks!

Have you done JIRA re-indexing?

Apart from that, you might be interested to see this page.

By the way this should be considered a bug that should be addressed by the Atlassian team. It makes the jira bugs very confusing seeing the link and number of "commits" when the branch has been deleted. In the majority of cases devs don't have admin access to Jira so we can't re-index.
