Dear all,
I know that there is already a lot regarding this issue in place. But I always find it with a sligtly different logic and need to do it a bit differently.
I would like to only allow EPICS beeing moved to done in case all child issues are already in a done statuscategory. Furthermore I would like to comment on the EPIC that is trying to be moved to done. In the simple branching logic the comment would always post on the child issue. Also I am not sure on how to transfer the EPIC back to its previous state.
Thanks already in advance
Hi @Felix van Walbeek , is this a Team or Company managed project? If CMP, have you considered using a Validator in your workflow transition to done? Here is an article that discusses this. How-to-prevent-closing-an-Epic-until-all-its-tasks-are-completed
The disadvantage of the Automation approach is that it reverts the transition rather than preventing the transition.
You must be a registered user to add a comment. If you've already registered, sign in. Otherwise, register and sign in.
Reverting the transition would also be fine to me.
The workflow option is not the perfect choice for me as it it a "to hard" enforcement. I would rather make the person aware of his "mistake" instead of enforcing him to do so

I would try this...
You must be a registered user to add a comment. If you've already registered, sign in. Otherwise, register and sign in.
