Jira API to create notification scheme and add notification recipient

Hi,

I would like to know if and how it is possible to use the Jira API (either REST or SOAP) to create a notification scheme and add a gorup notification recipient to all of the notification event for a specific group.

Hopefully someone had experience with it before.

You can't do this via remote APIs. The only option is to create your own remote APIs via plugins but that is not possible on onDemand.

Thanks for the quick response. is there any other way in Jira to set different notification policy (reciepient wise) to different projects which is also supported by the API ?

That is the default functionality in JIRA. You can set different notification schemes for different projects. Or are you asking for something else?
