Jira 7 upgrade 6.3 fails

Mohan Kaliyannan January 19, 2018

Hi - I tried to upgrade from 6.4.3  to Jira 7.7. It went well then I stuck on last process, license was too old for service desk warning, and I can't continue. But we renewed license couple days ago for Jira software and applied.

Anyway, I reverted to Jira 6.4.3  to remove service desk completly and try upgrade again. but I couldn't find any place.

Any plugins need to remove ?

Also, we never use service desk before?

Can anyone help me to find out and get upgrade?

I am afraid you are doing the upgrade wrong, and it is that which is likely to be breaking it.

First, upgrade 6.4 to Jira 7.0.  Specifically, use the Jira Software upgrade, not Core or Service Desk.

Check that works ok, then upgrade it to 7.7

First, you have to upgrade to 6.4.14. Then jump to the highest 7.0.x version. Then you can skip all versions up to 7.7.0
