Jira 7.1.7: Upload of local csv file to external jira server fails

Anke Schumacher July 20, 2017

Hi all!

We have the problem that the import of issues form a CSV doesn’t work. Unfortunately there is no error message or any other hint what went wrong. Everything else in the project is working well.

That is what we did and the according failure:

Step 1: created a valid CSV-file

Step 2: started import (tried with normal and administration access)

Step 3: loaded csv-file

Step 4: selected project and delimiter (tried twice, on time with “,” and second time with “;”)

Step 5: assigned field and selected them

Step 6: preview of import was shown

Step 7: pressed button “Begin Import”, this leads to a blank page

Pressing validate at step 6 leads to the same result (blank page). No error message was shown and no issues were imported.

This problem happens with firefox as well as with Internet explorer.

The problem does not occur when we use a server in the local intranet.

Any help or hints would be appriciated!

Thanks!

Anke.

This is an unfortunate bug that affected JIRA 7.1.7 specifically.  Please see JRASERVER-61179 for more details.   You should be able to upgrade to any newer version of JIRA in order to resolve this particular problem.
