Jira 5.2.5 and Tomcat >=7.0.29-r1

Grzeg Tantias February 4, 2013

Hi, I have following problem. I'm deploying jira 5.2.5 WAR on tomcat 7.0.32 (gentoo OS) that supports multiple instances via tomcat-instange-manager. Deployment of JIRA starts well, it connects to database (PostgreSQL), creates tables but it hangs(with high load) after loading plugins, without any errors in logs. The funny thing is that it runs well when deployed via startup.sh script in CATALINA_HOME directory but without using dedicated instance created tomcat-instange-manager. Does any one came accross similar problem?

Why don't you just use the standalone and preferably using the installer? EAR/WAR is a pain.
