Jenkins builds not showing up

Rade Martinović June 11, 2013

I have installed Jenkins Plugin for JIRA on my JIRA installation and also JIRA Plugin for Jenkins on to my Jenkins installation. I have added an application link in JIRA settings.

Inside Jenkins Configuration the Jenkins Plugin for JIRA has listed all my jobs on my Jenkins installation.

I have two issues:

1) No builds is showing up in CI Builds tab - although the jobs are listed in Jenkins Configuration in Administration and commits have issue links in commit descriptions and Source tab is listing the commits from Fisheye;

2) On Application Links page there is a warning that my Jenkins Application "seems to be offline" - althogh the minute before it has collected the list of all jobs from my Jenkins installation.

Thanks to anybody who's willing to help me out on this.

Guys....I am having the exact same issue.  I cannot view the related issues link because marvelution says my email domain is not allowed???  Don't know what that is about but if we can post the solution here I would be greatful.

EDIT:  Referring to this link:  https://marvelution.atlassian.net/browse/JJI  I have no access to this nor is it letting me create an account to view it.

Marvelution has migrated away from Atlassian Cloud so https://marvelution.atlassian.net/ is no longer online.

If you have issues now, you should go to https://issues.marvelution.org as stated in the links section on the marketplace listing.

I'm also not sure what you mean by "marvelution says my email domain is not allowed". You can register for an account at https://issues.marvelution.org and log any issues there if you have any.

As for the solution, please upgrade the plugin to the latest version supported by you JIRA instance. And also install the JIRA Plugin for Jenkins (This is NOT the one from Jenkins but the one you get from out release notes https://docs.marvelution.org/display/JJI/Release+Notes

Make sure that both plugin are running the same version!

If any issues persist, then please log them in our open issue tracker mentioned before!

So I will not find this plug-in on the Jenkins "available plugins" link....and I need to install it as a stand alone service?  Just want to confirm before I continue.  I definitely am getting a message on the JIRA side that it is not detecting the companion plugin....however....screenshots OF the companion plug-in match what I am seeing in Jenkins.

Thanks for replying.

Hi Alan,

As stated, please go to our release notes pages for the plugin to be installed in Jenkins. Once installed the JIRA plugin will detect it start using its features.

Also if you have issues and would like support, I suggest opening a ticket in our open issue tracker. Link also noted in the previous comment and on the add-on page on the marketplace.

Cheers,

Mark

Hi Rade,

I am also facing the same issue. Please let me know if it has been resolved.

Rade Martinović June 16, 2014

Hi Shital,

At one point the plugin started working, but after another update it stoped again. I guess that I am facing the problem decribed here https://marvelution.atlassian.net/browse/JJI-115but I am not completely sure. I do have a proxy set up for my JIRA instalation. Can you make a comment there, so that the issue becomes more visible - or if you do not have any proxies between JIRA and Jenkins make another issue report in the project's JIRA.

Hi,

I ran multiple tests to find the issue, and beleave that the proxy between JIRA and Jenkins is causing this issue.

I'm now in the process of finding a good solution to overcome this. But its taking longer then I expected.

Cheers, Mark

I conclude that my question is more of a bug report and not suitable for Atlassian Answers.

Hi Rade,

Can you try uninstalling the plugin and then reinstalling it?

The icons should be included. If that fails you can always download the artifact.
To do this, please go to the release ntoes page (https://marvelution.atlassian.net/wiki/display/JJI/1.0.2+Release+Notes) and download the OBR for the plugin there.

Please let me know I the error persists.

Cheers,
Mark

Hi Mark,

I've uninstalled the plugin and installed it by uploading an artefact from the wiki page you've posted. All problems remain.

I conclude that this discussion should probably not be continued here. I've made an issue report so let's continue the discussion there.

Hi Rade,

Do you have the checkboxes set infront of the some jobs on the Jenkins Configuration page is JIRA?

And are the issue keys also valid issues in JIRA? This is a requirement before a link is made.

Is not, check one or two and then click on the sync icon (the two blue arrows) to requires a sync.

If that doesn't work, then try deleting all the builds from a Job using the gear menu next to teh job listed. And then request another sync.

Cheers,

Mark

Rade Martinović June 12, 2013

Hi Mark,

I have set checkboxes to the jobs that I know relate to my project. Issue keys that are mentioned in commit messages are indeed valid issues in JIRA.

I don't see any builds for any of the jobs. Last Build column is zero for all jobs. Sync Job column is empty for all jobs. If I hover my mouse over Sync Job cell for some job the mouse pointer changes to hand but when I click mouse nothing happens.

I inspected that cell with Chrome Dev Tools. On my installation the following icon http://<hidden>:8080/s/en_US7zzrba-1988229788/6096/15/1.0.2/_/download/resources/images/not_working.png is 404.

Maybe I should reinstall the plugin? I've installed it through Marketplace. Would manual installation help?

Best,

Rade
