JQL: Return epics for a specific parent link

Su-San Yang October 28, 2019

How can I return a list of epics for a specific parent link.

Example:

Epic WMP-001, WMP-002 has a parent link in the epic to initiative WP-001

I am getting no result. However, when I view the initiative (WP-001) I can see the epics WMP-001 & WMP-002 & vice-versa.

The JQL is simply "Parent Link" = "WP-001".

Unfortunately I get the error "The operator '=' is not supported by the 'Parent Link' field."

Parent Link is a field usually created by Portfolio for Jira, are you using Portfolio?  It's possible you have a different custom field named Parent Link - can you check your custom fields and see what type of field it is?
