JMWE assignment rule

Bruno Ramos April 16, 2021

How can I prevent JMWE from assigning the issue to anyone who makes a change? I did not define any post function assignment, but JMWE always assigns the issue to anyone who makes any changes, in this case Automation for Jira.
We use Jira Software Cloud.

I found the problem, in Automation we can only define what the destination status will be and not what transition will be made. In this case, automation was making a transition (all) that has an assignment post function.
I did put a condition on this transition (all), now Automation will perform the correct transition without any post function.

Hi Bruno,

JMWE only assigns an issue if you explicitly configure it to do so. Therefore, you need to figure out where you have configured a JMWE rule to do so.

I you open a support request, our support might be able to help you with that.
