An error occurred performing JIRA upgrade | 2016-06-01 13:41:47 | error | Error occurred during export before upgrade: There was a problem backing up data for the null plugin. If necessary, auto-export can be disabled; see http://www.atlassian.com/software/jira/docs/latest/upgrade/autoexport.html com.atlassian.core.AtlassianCoreException: There was a problem backing up data for the null plugin. |
The upgrade process tries to do an export of your existing data before it tries to upgrade it.
This process is failing because you have one or more add-ons in the 6.3 install that are not in your 7.1 installation - the backup routine is trying to export their data, but can't do it because it doesn't know how to read/write it without the add-on in place.
You could pre-install the missing add-on(s) before the upgrade, or you could just skip it by telling the upgrade not to do the export. (As you have the SQL backup, you probably don't need the export, so I'd skip it and see how you get on with the rest of the upgrade)
