I am trying to upgrade JIRA from v5.2.2 to v5.2.4.1. This is the first time I have attempted to do the upgrade "in place" instead of doing a new install. The install is failing due to the error:

Exception:

java.io.FileNotFoundException: /export/home/apps/jira/data/atlassian/jira/atlassian-jira-5.2.4.1-x64.bin.28692.dir/stats.properties (No such file or directory)

I do not know what this file is or how to resolve the issue.

Can anyone help? We are on linux using the atlassian-jira-5.2.4.1-x64.bin installer.
