Hi all,

Due to some JIRA cloud version limitations (and for some add-ons), I'd like to have a JIRA server version hosted in the cloud.

I've been reading about AWS hosting for JIRA, but seems it needs JIRA data center versionn which starts at 500 users. I only need 10 users.

So, any idea to host a JIRA server version in the cloud in an easy (and cheap!) way?

Thanks a lot,

Fred

Well, you can have the AWS ec2 machine and wget the latest JIRA version and setup mysql and that would get you started with the JIRA installation.

Here's step by step guide

And here's a service that will do it for you at very low cost.

AWS cloudformation seems to support JIRA data center, which you have been reading. But JIRA is an Java application and can be installed easily on aws ec2 just like any other application, if you want to save time on configuring then I would suggest go with a deployment provider to get you started with it on the cloud and then your local Ops team can take over.
