Hi,
As a new Jira user, I started on a fresh new instance. I notice on integrating JIRA with another tool (test design tool) that the fields related to issue in JIRA are in Chinese or Japanese (not sure what asian language it is). The support team of the Test Design tool is saying that it's JIRA which is sending back Chinese or Japanese and that it seems seems like the local of the JIRA database in its regional settings is set to Chinese.

For information, the default language in JIRA is set to English.
Can someone please advise what or how to change the JIRA settings to give back English.

Hi Reza,
It seems like there's a status and a status category name which are in the other alphabet. You might want to use the admin interface to find out this status category and the corresponding status and change their name to prevent it from being sent by the API.
