JIRA ondemand (trial version) running slowly

Hello,

We're evaluating JIRA ondemand (vanilla version without any addons). We currently only have the administrator user and have not yet done much with it (actually no other users added, no tickets or projects open). We're noticing the website runs quite slowly acrross several browsers (we mostly use Safari, Firefox and Chrome).

Although we have a good internet connection (20/20mbit fiber optic, national telecom). Our ping to <ourcompanyname>.atlassian.netis averages around 200ms.

It takes up to 10 seconds to load different sections of the page.

Do trial versions run in a separate environment from actual paying customers? Can we expect the website load time to come down once we become paying customers? What geographic options come with JIRA ondemand? Can our instance be moved to a hosted platform with less latency?

Best regards,

J

J,

It should be the same speed for paying and evaluation customers. For this slowness issue I believe the best course of action is to open a support ticket (http://support.atlassian.com) for the OnDemand project. It's also possible to migrade from the OnDemand to a hosted instance.

Cheers

Luciano
