JIRA notifications not showing in Confluence Workbox

Aldo Cauchi Savona July 16, 2014

Hi,

We have set up application links between Confluence and JIRA which seem to be working well according to the diagnostics plugin and the fact that JIRA issues can be seen in confluence. However, mentions and comment on JIRA issues are not being shown in the Confluence Workbox.

I have ensure that the in-app notifications are configured well. Also tried to lok for any answer that might help but it seems that as soon as Application links are created the notifications should show up.

Can anyone help identify what the problem might be? We are running Confluence and JIRA with CROWS SSO behind apache. No SSL for now.

Thanks,

Aldo

Howdy Aldo,

Have you enabled the ability to display in-app notifications from other servers? There are instructions on enabling JIRA notifications at Configuring Workbox Notifications that go into detail on enabling this feature and setting it up for JIRA.

If this is enabled, what verisons of JIRA and Confluence are you running? Confluence requires JIRA 5.2 or later to include JIRA notifications in the Workbox.

Hi Stephen, Thanks for answering.

The issue 'resolved itself' when we switched to SSL and re-created the application links.

Dunno what was wrong with the configuration before...
